Recycling City is a cluster co-operation between companies within the municipality of Frederikshavn, which works with recycling in its broadest sense ranging from re-use of IT-equipment, upcycling of waste from the food industry onto reuse of materials from scrapping ships and offshore platforms.
Recycling is characterized by value chains, where many companies has a role in improving and processing waste, collection, transportation, processing, and sale. We focus on filling those value chains, to make the recycling process a success. If there are vacant positions or bottlenecks in the chains, we attempt to attract relevant businesses, start-ups, and investors.
